What an official rating is worth
Whether you are entering tournaments, joining a league, or just looking for evenly matched recreational play, an accurate rating is what makes it work. Every rating in this directory was assessed in person, on court, by a trained Certified Rating Specialist — not self-reported and not estimated by an algorithm.
Assessed in person
A Certified Rating Specialist takes you through a set of strokes and match-play scenarios and scores you against an established global rubric. Sessions usually run 60–90 minutes and may involve several players.
You get feedback, not just a number
Your rating comes with a feedback form setting out where to improve, so the assessment tells you how to reach the next level rather than only where you currently sit.
Only current ratings are listed
Every player here holds a rating that has not lapsed. A rating that expires drops off this directory, so what you see is current rather than historical.
For clubs and leagues
Clubs and facilities need objective ratings to build balanced brackets and run leagues people want to play in. A directory of independently assessed players is what makes that possible without organisers having to take self-ratings on trust.
